We are seeking an HVAC Control Systems Designer to join our Federal Systems team supporting the Fort McNair and Fort Myer military bases in Arlington, VA.

As a Systems Designer, you will:
- Performs hardware designs for flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required
- Performs software programming using established standards as a basis of design or custom as required
- Coordinates the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation
- Selects, orders, and tracks the delivery of materials for assigned projects.Coordinates processes to meet factory and project schedule
- Assists in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation
- Gathers field changes from the project team and creates as-built drawings and software. Prepares proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation
- Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
- Assists in performing site-specific training for owner / operator on the total system
- Completes paperwork including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
- Adheres to safety standards, local and national codes.High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with installing and / or commissioning controls systems including system-level controllers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, preferably with HVAC controls hardware.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude.
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools, Fiber, and Network layouts.
- U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances and/or badges as required to perform site duties. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in HVAC controls hardware desired
Preferred Education:
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
