If you're the proactive, analytical type that has a way of keeping others in line without them even knowing you're doing it, then maybe we should talk!
The Financial Analyst (FA) is primarily responsible for providing financial support to the assigned account and functional/operational teams. The FA will assist in all financial communications with assigned clients. Communication may include, but is not limited to, the development and completion of estimates for client events and projects, client billing and invoice delivery, monthly client and internal reporting, purchase order and invoice tracking, and monitoring of accounts receivable balances.
General Purpose: Provide accurate and timely financial support to the assigned internal account and functional/operational teams and the related clients.
Essential Functions:
- Billing –
- Monthly review of client jobs, determination of appropriate amounts to be billed and communication with the accounting department on invoice creation.
- Interact with Account Executives, Program Managers and Producers to review a job's financial components and determine the appropriate amount to bill and when to bill it based on understanding of advance billing, revenue recognition and internal cash flow
- Interact with clients to answer billing questions
- Interact with clients to answer job status questions
- Invoice processing – Receive invoices via hard copy or email and process to the correct job and function in a timely and accurate manner
- Invoice distribution, follow-up and tracking –
- Manage the distribution of the invoices for all clients
- Maintain financial tracking spreadsheets as needed for each client
- Track invoices issued and PO balances available on client's behalf
- Contingency – Accurately track, bill, and ensure timely distribution of race contingency funds
- Estimate development –
- Build client estimates with attention to accuracy and profitability
- Track and report on Budget v Actual where required by the client or where beneficial to the Company
- Job setup and PO Matching –
- Set up jobs within Jackson's accounting software
- Ensure that all new jobs have PO's
- Bill against appropriate PO's
- Ensure that appropriate internal parties are informed on correct job numbers.
- A/R Aging –Regularly (monthly) monitor aged invoices and communicate with clients and/or internal Jackson associates to keep balances current
- Reporting
- Regularly keep internal management informed of job/project status and profitability
- Analyze data to forecast potential performance on a job/project and client basis, including noting possible areas of possible risk or future growth opportunities
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business, and/or commiserate experience
- 3+ years financial role experience
- Excellent, pro-active interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work on multiple projects with a variety of team members and client guidelines while remaining organized and exhibiting critical thinking skills
- Strong time management skills with a strong sense of urgency – responding quickly to questions/inquiries
- Reliable and responsible, able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
- Work efficiently under stress
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in accounting software and/or database systems
- Ability to problem solve and think critically– using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

- 5+ years experience
- Prior Agency or Professional Services experience
- Prior Motorsports experience

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the Associate is occasionally required to move about the office, use computers, phone, video conferencing and other general office equipment. The Associate must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
This position is performed on-site at Jackson in a climate-controlled office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
