Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with assigned customers, serving as the primary point of contact, and ensuring customer satisfaction while driving account growth or retention. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, coordinating internally to meet those needs, and identifying opportunities to expand business within existing accounts.

Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Understand customer requirements and ensure expectations are met or exceeded
- Coordinate with internal departments (sales, production, quality, logistics, finance, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
- Manage account activities including pricing, contracts, order status, and issue resolution
- Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling, and cross-selling
- Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address concerns or issues
- Prepare and present account reviews, forecasts, and performance reports
- Ensure accurate documentation of customer interactions, pricing, and agreements
- Support new customer onboarding and transitions as needed
- Stay informed on company products, services, and industry trends
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Negotiation and pricing experience
- Data analysis and forecasting skills
- Ability to interpret contracts and customer agreements
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of account management, customer service, or sales experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and/or ERP systems
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
