We are currently seeking aHospice Weekend Flex Registered Nurseto join our team. This part-time role provides weekend support across Northeast King County and Southeast Snohomish County, with assignments based on fluctuating patient needs, new admissions, and urgent care situations.
Full-time employment is also available for candidates who can work two additional weekdays in addition to weekends.

Job Summary:
The Hospice Weekend Flex Nurse provides essential care and support to patients and families during weekend hours. Care is provided in a variety of settings, including private homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. This role focuses on responding to urgent or emergency needs, managing symptoms, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care focused on pain and symptom management for hospice patients.
- Respond promptly to urgent calls, assess situations, and deliver immediate interventions as needed.
- Administer and adjust medications, monitoring effectiveness for optimal comfort.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and address urgent patient needs.
- Support and educate families, offering guidance and reassurance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, assessments, and interventions.
- Manage emergencies and coordinate with the on-call team for additional support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow hospice care protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education & License: Active RN license required; hospice/palliative care certification (e.g., CHPN) a plus.
- Experience in hospice or palliative care settings is preferred, along with a strong understanding of end-of-life care principles and best practices.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred (based on care setting).
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient with EHR systems and healthcare technologies.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work independently, respond to crises, and adapt to diverse social, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, and auto liability insurance.

*Compensation:
Part-Time rate is $50 - $56.75 per hour, depending on experience. Full-Time pay is 110k-118k for FT flex.
Full-time employment is also available for candidates who can work two additional weekdays in addition to weekends.
All rates are negotiable within this range and will be discussed during the hiring process.
