Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for an experienced School Psychologist to support a diverse student population in the Hammond, LA area, including one large Pre-K through 8 public school and three private elementary schools. This role involves providing psychological services to enhance student learning and well-being across multiple educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized educational plans.
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support student mental health and academic success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to ensure positive student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with Pre-K through 8th-grade students preferred.
- Strong understanding of applicable assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both public and private school settings.
