Our Assurance team is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Assurance Manager who’s ready to step into a leadership role with long-term potential. This is a rare opportunity to join a respected public accounting firm, take the baton from a retiring Partner, and help lead our practice into its next chapter.
If you are a current or rising Assurance Manager / Senior Manager / Director with strong technical skills, a passion for client service, and the desire to take real ownership of your work and team, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead audits, reviews, and compilations across multiple industries, including manufacturing/distribution, construction, real estate, technology, transportation, private equity, financial services, and oil & gas.
- Review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee and instruct audit teams, reviewing work and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage client engagements, budgets, and timelines while delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Document and test internal controls; support consulting and advisory projects.
- Mentor and develop Associates, Senior Associates, and Interns.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to privately held businesses and their leadership teams.
- Play an active role in business development and practice growth initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of public accounting experience in assurance (audit) at the Manager or Senior Manager level (experience with a Top 5–20 firm is a plus, but all backgrounds considered).
- CPA required.
- Strong technical expertise in audits, reviews, compilations, GAAP, and internal controls.
- Proven ability to review work, manage engagements, and lead audit teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with a client-first mindset.
- A consultative, hands-on leader who can confidently guide clients while also rolling up their sleeves when needed.
- Strong Excel skills
- This is a customer facing role based in (or willing to relocate to) Houston, TX — hybrid work options available.
Why Join Us
We value people just as much as performance. Alongside clear Partner track potential, you’ll enjoy:
- Generous vacation, wellness days, holidays, and flexible hours.
- Hybrid schedule with home office equipment provided.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) with firm match.
- Competitive salary + Profit share program.
- Coaching, mentoring, and continuing education opportunities.
The Opportunity
This is more than just another Manager role. It’s the chance to step into a leadership track with Partner potential, make your mark on a growing practice, and be part of a Firm that invests deeply in its people, clients, and community.
