Nurse Practitioner Opening - Leavittsburg, OH - Contract role to start: 60 days, but could possibly be extended to 90 days
Mon-Fri / No Holidays or weekends - days shift start/end times have some flexibility based on needs of facility- could go in earlier, etc
- Searching for a family or adult-gerontology nurse practitioner licensed to work in Ohio with at least one year of working NP experience in primary care to provide on-site services on a full-time basis to the male population at this correctional facility.
- Schedule is weekdays only (no evenings, weekends, or holidays) and shift start/end times have some flexibility based on needs of facility. An on-site interview will be required.
- We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including home care, hospital medicine, and acute care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient health and well-being, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
- Perform specimen collection processing and analyze results.
- Provide care for infectious diseases and manage treatment plans.
- Assist in ophthalmology procedures as needed.
- Conduct spinal taps and other diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Experience in home care, hospital medicine, or acute care preferred.
- Proficient in specimen collection processing techniques.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols is a plus.
- Ability to lift patients and assist with mobility as needed.
- Familiarity with sonography techniques is beneficial but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
