Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough skin examinations and document patients' medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat various dermatological conditions, including pigmented lesions (e.g., nevi and melanoma), acne, psoriasis, dandruff, athlete's foot, and skin cancer.
- Advise patients on preventive care, including annual skin screenings, sun protection, and self-examinations for skin and lymph nodes.
- Perform incisional biopsies for melanoma diagnosis and execute skin surgeries to enhance appearance or manage conditions like skin cancer.
- Prescribe suitable medical treatments, including hormonal agents, topical therapies, contraceptives, spironolactone, anti-androgens, oral corticosteroids, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, and antibiotics.
- Administer therapies such as intralesional injections, chemical peels, and comedo extractions to address age spots, sun damage, rough skin, or oily skin.
- Recommend diagnostic tests based on patient histories and physical examinations.
- Assess patients for cosmetic procedures like liposuction, laser resurfacing, and microdermabrasion, and perform treatments as necessary.
- Stay updated on dermatology advancements through continuous education, literature review, and professional engagement.
- Collaborate with and refer patients to other specialists when required.
- Provide late evening and weekend coverage as part of the regular scheduling rotation.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Dermatology.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
- Possession of a valid New York Medical License.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package includes:
- Annual Base Salary: $334,000* (board eligible); $344,000* (board certified) based on a 40-hour work week.
- Estimated total annual compensation package: $367,400** (board eligible) and $378,400** (board certified), which encompasses base salary, 401(k) contributions, and additional factors.
- 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required. After one year, an additional 7% contribution is provided.
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.
- Comprehensive Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
- Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to you.
