Required Skills:
- Recently out of technical school or 3+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic
- Experience working with chemical, petroleum, or batch manufacturing
- Experience working on pumps, boilers, air compressors, ball mills, reactors, and PLC programs
- Good communication skills and reliability

Day to day:
- Performing various Preventive Maintenance activities, and completing work orders.
- Troubleshooting motor control systems and replacing defective devices such as fuses, motor starters, relays, power supplies, etc.
- Troubleshooting 3-phase and 1-phase equipment including pumps, agitators, air-compressors, hydraulic system, packaging equipment.
- Troubleshooting plant instrumentation such as flow meters, level meters, flow switches, temperature transmitters, and pressure transmitters.
- Troubleshooting PLC controlled automated systems including actuated valves and associated interlocks.
- Maintaining systems to be mechanically compliant with the state of Illinois such as the Facility Fire System, Steam boilers, and Elevator lifts.
- Fabrication and piping skills such as welding and piping assembly.
- Repairing mobile equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet lifting equipment.
- Working in a safe manner following all site safety procedures and work permit processes.
- Responding and correcting ASRS fault codes as well as interfacing with Savannah, the warehouse management system.
- Performing electrical tasks such as unwiring/wiring of different pieces of electrical equipment like motors, drives, valves, lights, contactors, ballasts, and instrumentation devices.
- Troubleshooting fault alarms to determine the problem and solution, as well as assisting operations in the FT Batch program.
