Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, travel assignment
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum one year of recent MS/telemetry experience
- BLS certification required
- Demonstrated proficiency in the care of post-TAVR, cardiac catheterization, ablations, and management of cardiac drips
- Experience with telemetry monitoring equipment
- Familiarity with documentation using Allscripts preferred
- Able to float to like units as needed
Unit Details & Responsibilities:
- 24-bed unit specializing in advanced cardiac care
- Typical ratios of 1:4 on days and nights
- Work collaboratively with unit secretaries, PCTs, and monitor techs under guidance of a Charge Nurse
- Care for patients recovering from TAVR, ablations, STEMI, pacemakers, cardio mems, and watchmen procedures
- Participate in active patient assessment, medication administration, telemetry monitoring, and interdisciplinary communication
