Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, travel assignment
  • Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum one year of recent MS/telemetry experience
  • BLS certification required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the care of post-TAVR, cardiac catheterization, ablations, and management of cardiac drips
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring equipment
  • Familiarity with documentation using Allscripts preferred
  • Able to float to like units as needed

Unit Details & Responsibilities:

  • 24-bed unit specializing in advanced cardiac care
  • Typical ratios of 1:4 on days and nights
  • Work collaboratively with unit secretaries, PCTs, and monitor techs under guidance of a Charge Nurse
  • Care for patients recovering from TAVR, ablations, STEMI, pacemakers, cardio mems, and watchmen procedures
  • Participate in active patient assessment, medication administration, telemetry monitoring, and interdisciplinary communication
