Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg Acute Care / OBS Unit – Days
Location: Glenwood Springs, CO
Shift: 12-hour day shifts, includes weekends & call rotation
About the Role
Seeking an experienced RN – Med-Surg Acute Care / OBS Unit to join our growing team! Our census is increasing due to orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and acute/chronic patient care. Enjoy the beautiful Colorado Mountains while making a real impact on patient care.
As an RN at Valley View, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care using your expertise in acute and med-surg nursing. You will plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for adult Med-Surg/Telemetry and Observation patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans

Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly

Participate in the call rotation (1 shift per 2-week period as needed)

Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
Requirements
-
Minimum 2 years of acute care, Med-Surg, or telemetry experience

Current RN license in Colorado

BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications

Proof of flu vaccination (no exemptions accepted)

Must live 75+ miles from facility (radius rule for travelers)
Schedule & Compensation

Shift: 12-hour day shifts, weekend rotation, call rotation

Overtime: All-inclusive + $10/hour after 40 hours/week

On-Call Pay: $3/hour pager; call back All-inclusive + $5/hour

Holiday Rate: All-inclusive + $10/hour

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
