A registered nurse specializing in operating room procedures is needed to support a busy surgical department. This contract opportunity offers engagement in a dynamic clinical environment focused on advanced surgical care. The role primarily involves working in a specialized 7-room unit with opportunities to float to a larger 26-room main operating room and trauma center as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties during various surgical procedures.
- Utilize proficiency with advanced robotic systems, specifically the Da Vinci XI.
- Support posterior eye surgeries and eye trauma cases as part of the surgical team.
- Flexibly float between different operating rooms to ensure smooth workflow and patient care.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent perioperative care.
Qualifications:
- Current and active RN license.
- Proven experience in operating room nursing with strong skills in scrubbing.
- Competency with robotic surgical equipment, particularly the Da Vinci XI system.
- Ability to manage posterior eye and ocular trauma surgeries is highly desirable.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills within a fast-paced surgical environment.
