Endodontic Dental Assistant – Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our specialty practice. The ideal candidate is team-focused, patient-centered, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the endodontist during procedures, including root canal treatments and retreatments
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
- Take high-quality digital radiographs and CBCT scans
- Place rubber dams and assist with isolation techniques
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols
- Provide excellent patient care, helping patients feel comfortable and informed
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and assist with charting
- Manage supplies and equipment, ensuring proper organization and function
Qualifications:
- Dental assisting experience required (endodontic experience preferred)
- Radiology certification (per state requirements)
- Knowledge of dental software (TDO experience a plus)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
