Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Antepartum position requiring WA or compact license and advanced maternal care skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a high-risk Antepartum hospital unit
- Care for patients from 6 to 41 weeks gestation, including those with PTL, placenta previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, and substance use disorder
- No newborns on this unit; care for postpartum mothers with babies in NICU and fetal demise cases
- Assist with bedside amnio or sterile speculum exams
- Manage PCA pumps, PICC/Central Lines, and syringe pumps
- Administer medications such as heparin, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate
- Float required to Postpartum unit
- Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:30
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Care responsibilities include support for patients with fetal demise and postpartum mothers with babies in NICU
- Scrubs of any color may be worn; facility-provided scrubs required when floated to Labor & Delivery
- All travelers may be required to float between other facilities within the state
- Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months and live outside 50 miles to be eligible as a traveler
- RTO requests must be addressed prior to submission; post-submission RTO changes may be denied
- A minimum of two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years in a comparable setting is required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- COVID and flu vaccination documentation required

- Current WA RN license or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Antepartum or related experience required
- Experience circulating for C-sections required
- AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP certifications required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with phlebotomy, central line/CVC/PICC maintenance, and specific high-risk OB medications required
- Intermediate AWHONN considered with manager approval
