Job Title: General Laborer – Concrete Production
Job Description
This role supports a high-volume concrete production operation by setting up forms and rebar, pouring and finishing large concrete slabs, and ensuring products meet quality standards throughout the curing process. You will work with a variety of tools, move materials around the production yard, and perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment while occasionally leading small groups or work areas as needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up concrete forms and rebar for large concrete slabs according to specifications and measurements.
- Pour concrete into prepared forms safely and efficiently, ensuring proper distribution and coverage.
- Perform visual inspections of concrete products before and after the curing process to confirm quality and identify defects.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools to support daily production tasks.
- Load and unload concrete products and materials to and from different stations around the production yard.
- Lift and move products weighing up to 70 pounds as needed throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including general cleaning tasks around the yard and production stations.
- Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure products meet required specifications.
- Support basic carpentry-related tasks associated with building, adjusting, or repairing forms and related structures.
- Lead small groups or specific work areas when assigned, helping coordinate tasks and maintain safe, efficient workflow.
- Follow all safety procedures and use tools and equipment in accordance with training and guidelines.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in construction or concrete work.
- Hands-on experience with concrete production, including setting forms and pouring concrete.
- Ability to perform general labor tasks in a construction or production environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools, including basic carpentry tools.
- Experience using power tools and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds repeatedly as needed.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work first shift hours with potential overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in construction, concrete, or related production environments.
- Experience in carpentry or form-building for concrete applications.
- Familiarity with general cleaning and housekeeping practices in a yard or production setting.
- Previous experience leading small teams or work areas is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting products for quality.
- Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift role, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with possible overtime on Saturdays during the same hours. All work takes place outdoors in a production yard, and operations continue in all weather conditions and all seasons. Team members must be prepared to work in rain, heat, cold, and varying environmental conditions, and should dress appropriately for the weather while maintaining safety standards. The role involves frequent heavy lifting, continuous movement around the yard, and regular use of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools in a busy, physically demanding environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
