Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working as an Occupational Therapist supporting PreK-5th grade students in a vibrant school setting near Tacoma, WA. For the 2026-2027 school year, you’ll empower young learners, helping them develop vital life skills and succeed in their classroom environments. This full-time position requires a commitment to 37.5 hours per week, with a diverse caseload of approximately 50-55 students. Your expertise will make a tangible difference as you collaborate directly with educators and families—no virtual work, just meaningful, hands-on engagement with students onsite.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Washington Occupational Therapist license
- Able to complete OSPI fingerprinting, if not already done
- Experience working in school-based OT settings strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, student-centered mindset
- Commitment to onsite services—remote or virtual candidates cannot be considered
Your Role Will Include:
- Evaluating and developing individualized intervention plans for PreK-5th grade students
- Direct service delivery focused on functional and academic skills
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reporting per school and state standards
- Participating in IEP meetings and related school-based team initiatives
