Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Behavior Specialist (BCBA) contract opportunity is available for the 2026 spring semester in the Jacksonville, FL area. This role supports K-12 self-contained programs within multiple schools, assisting teachers in implementing effective behavioral interventions and strategies.
Responsibilities include collaborating with educators across 5 to 7 schools, conducting observations, providing data-driven recommendations, developing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), modeling behavior management techniques, and supporting data collection efforts. This position does not involve providing direct therapy services but focuses on supporting teacher-led behavioral programs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active BCBA licensure is required.
- Experience working within school-based settings, ideally supporting K-12 self-contained classrooms.
- Strong skills in functional behavior assessments, behavioral strategy development, and teacher consultation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with educators and staff.
Location & Work Details:
- Position is on-site only in Jacksonville, FL.
- Contract duration: January 5, 2026 through May 28, 2026.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Itinerant work across multiple schools within the district, with specific school assignments to be confirmed.
