Position Overview
The Estimator will play a crucial role in our project bidding process, responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to provide accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in construction and civil works to ensure competitive and profitable bidding.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to assess scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather project information.
- Conduct site visits to gather data for accurate estimation.
- Analyze historical data to inform future project bids.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and negotiation.
- Monitor project costs and provide input for budget management.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and civil works.
- Experience in public works and underground construction projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
