Key Responsibilities

  • Retail Channel Leadership & Build-Out: Lead a retail-first sales strategy for all used fleet vehicles. This includes the full development and management of innovative, direct-to-consumer and direct-to-business retail sales channels (similar to an omnichannel model) to maximize net return and control the customer experience.

  • National Remarketing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive national remarketing plan, ensuring optimal asset disposition across all platforms, with wholesale/auction channels utilized only as strategic overflow.

  • Team Scaling & Management: Build, manage, and scale a high-performing remarketing sales organization. Provide clear strategic direction, implement rigorous sales processes, and establish accountability for performance metrics for a rapidly expanding team.

  • Sales Execution: Personally negotiate and close high-value vehicle sales with business buyers, fleet operators, and commercial partners, setting the performance standard for the team.

  • Sales Roadmap Development: Create a multi-year channel roadmap that aggressively expands reach into direct end-user sales, small and mid-sized business accounts, online platforms, and strategic reseller partnerships on a national scale.

  • Pipeline & Performance Management: Implement a disciplined sales pipeline process to track opportunities, forecast revenue accurately, and continuously improve sales velocity and channel efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner seamlessly with Fleet Operations, Finance, and Logistics to ensure efficient and profitable vehicle readiness and timely disposition.

  • Market Insight: Continuously monitor and analyze national market trends, pricing shifts, and competitor practices to inform dynamic pricing and channel strategy.

  • Executive Reporting: Develop and present executive-level performance dashboards and strategic updates reflecting sales productivity, channel mix optimization, and overall ROI.

QualificationsMust Have

  • Retail Channel Development: Demonstrated, hands-on success in the full development, launch, and scaling of successful direct-to-consumer and/or direct-to-business retail sales channels in the automotive, equipment, or high-value asset sector (e.g., Carvana model or similar).

  • National Remarketing Experience: Proven background in managing and executing a large-scale, national remarketing program, with a focus on maximizing value across diverse geographic markets.

  • Sales & Leadership Experience: 7–10 years of experience in fleet remarketing, used vehicle sales, or equipment resale, including 4+ years of sales management or sales leadership experience with a proven ability to build and motivate a results-driven team.

  • Scaling and Growth Focus: Experience leading a sales team through a period of significant expansion, capable of managing and mentoring an initial team of 8 and growing it substantially in the near term (to 20+).

  • Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of the used vehicle and fleet equipment market, pricing dynamics, and buyer behaviors across retail, dealer, and wholesale channels.

  • Skills: Exceptional sales negotiation, closing, and high-level relationship-building skills. Analytical thinker with strong financial acumen.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).

  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
