Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license in good standing; Nurse Licensure Compact preferred with compliance to additional compact license requirements (suicide training and demographic verification via Nursys e-Notify)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (NIHSS)
- Proven critical care experience within an ICU or CCU hospital setting
- Authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer and document medications accurately, monitor for and report adverse reactions
- Provide bedside nursing care, including hemodynamic monitoring and IV therapy
- Perform diagnostic test orders, interpretation, and patient response assessments
- Educate patients and families on illness management and post-treatment care directives
- Respond promptly and effectively in life-saving situations, applying nursing protocols
- Maintain concise and complete patient records in compliance with policies
- Manage and interpret data from specialized monitoring equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and oxygen pumps
- Ensure proper placement and function of catheters, leads, and tubing, initiating corrective measures as necessary
