The Massage Therapist administers exceptional body and massage therapy treatments while creating a caring environment of comfort and relaxation for guests.
Essential Job Functions:
• Performs professional massage therapy and body treatments as licensed.
• Conducts individualized treatments, tailoring services according to guest needs.
• Maintains excellent knowledge of the muscles and body.
• Creates exceptional experiences for clients through a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Maintains the professionalism and cleanliness of therapy rooms and common areas.
• Ensures appointments are on time, communicating delays as necessary.
• Accurately promotes Spa services and retail in a courteous and informative manner.
• Responsible for pre-setting and re-setting each treatment room.
• Maintains up to date knowledge of all trends and developments within the professional spa community related to products, treatment and techniques.
• Maintains knowledge of Spa, and community events to accurately and clearly communicate information to guests and employees.
• Performs related duties as requested by management. Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
• Current NJ Massage Therapy license required.
• Previous experience as massage therapist or advanced massage training preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced training with career interest in a related industry is preferred.
• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills required; must enjoy working with people.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and guests orally and in writing.
• Must be able to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Flexibility to be cross-trained in other spa functions/services preferred.
Physical Qualifications:
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
