A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Long-Term Care Pharmacist in Indianapolis, IN.
The Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacist will work at 6330 East 75th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250, and will be responsible for ensuring proper medication dispensing, patient compliance monitoring, and providing consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications.

Long-Term Care Pharmacist Compensation
• The pay for this position is $65.99 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Long-Term Care Pharmacist Highlights
• This position is long-term with potential for future growth and career advancement
• The required availability for this position is 2nd Shift from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Long-Term Care Pharmacist Responsibilities
• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law and that prescribed medicines are suitable for patients.
• Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients and ensure proper management of patient records and pharmacy files.
• Advise patients on medications, including how to take them, potential side effects, and answer any questions they may have.
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Provide services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the proper handling of medical devices, such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for external or internal use and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and clerks.
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
• Identify patients' drug-related problems and effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and healthcare staff to provide optimal care.
• Ensure you are licensed by the state pharmacy board and maintain your license in good standing.

Long-Term Care Pharmacist Requirements
• Active/valid Indiana Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license required.
• Proven experience in long-term care pharmacy or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients and healthcare teams.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage patient records and inventories accurately.
• Ability to educate and advise patients on proper medication usage and potential risks.
