JOB PURPOSE:
Assist in the development and execution of work performedin the field of visual communication.
CORE DUTIES:
Under supervision from the Creative Director and SeniorDesigner, perform basic graphic design with limited scope/complexity in a broadrange of projects. Projects include but are not limited to:
Digital signage
Storytelling visuals
Slide templates based on provided art direction/design
Social media projects
Use brand/style guides to build infographics (usingIllustrator and/or Prezi)
Iconography
Logo creation (following template)
Resize art (photo & illustrations) for web, social,and print
Format PDFs for accessibility
Compile illustrations, photos, and pictures for graphicdesign assignments.
Art to support research and/or school stories
Photography options for social media posts
Upload photos to our content management system and photodatabase
Assist with scheduling of photo shoots
Use job-required software applications and mediums todevelop and design materials according to defined requirements.
Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards,trends, and state-of-the-art technology to provide and enhance services.
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree OR equivalant work experience (4 years)in related field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a must, plusinterest/ability to learn additional tools
Ability to identify and solve basic design problems.
Experience in creating graphic designs.
Understanding of typography best practices
Ability to translate established design concepts/themesinto finished pieces.
Demonstrated understanding of job-required softwareapplications and mediums.
Strong organizational and communication (both written andverbal) skills.
Ability to perform detailed work with a high level ofaccuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated understanding of current industry standards,trends, and technical knowledge.
Ability to meet deadlines and deliver completed work ontime.
Ability to work effectively with others as part of ateam.
Part-time (average 20 hours per week), including someavailability during standard business hours, to be agreed upon. A flexibleschedule is a plus.
