Job Description
Join our team as a Clinic Nurse where you will ensure the efficient flow of patients through the clinic. Your role includes screening and preparing patients for exams, instructing them on sample collection, obtaining vitals, and managing patient records. You will also notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments, educate patients and families on medications and treatment instructions, and manage scheduling for tests and treatments. This includes arranging referrals to specialists and obtaining pre-authorizations as directed by the provider.
Responsibilities
- Manage the efficient flow of patients through the clinic.
- Screen and prepare patients for exams.
- Instruct patients on the collection of necessary samples/tests.
- Obtain and record patient vitals.
- Notify patients of test results and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
- Manage patient records, including chart entries and posting lab/tests.
- Schedule tests and treatments, arranging specialist referrals and obtaining pre-authorizations.
Essential Skills
- Experience in OB/GYN settings.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and triage.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
- Experience in physician clinics, case management, and ambulatory care.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a hospital, physician clinic, or specialty clinic.
- Experience with EcW or any Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Work Environment
Work in a women's clinic setting at The Urogynecology Center. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts starting at 7:30/8:00 AM. This is a contract-to-hire position with an initial 6-month contract.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
