Oklahoma Public Montessori Initiative (OPMI), launching in Fall 2025, marks a significant milestone as the first tuition-free public Montessori charter school in the state of Oklahoma. OPMI will first welcome Pre-K and Kindergarten students adding a grade level each year until 4th grade.

Summary:

OPMI is seeking aMontessori Office Clerk to support daily administrative operations and ensure a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and aligned with Montessori principles, providing support to staff, students, and families while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Manage front desk operations, greet visitors, and answer phone calls in a warm and professional manner.
  • Maintain student records, attendance logs, and confidential documents in compliance with school policies.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Support enrollment and registration processes, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute school-wide communication (newsletters, emails, memos).

Office & Classroom Assistance:

  • Maintain office supplies and ensure classrooms have necessary materials.
  • Support Guides and other staff with copying, filing, and organizing instructional materials.
  • Assist with coordinating school events, field trips, and parent engagement activities.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.

Student & Parent Interaction:

  • Serve as a friendly point of contact for parents, answering questions and directing concerns appropriately.
  • Monitor attendance, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Provide assistance to students as needed, supporting a calm and nurturing Montessori environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in an office setting, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Familiarity with Montessori education or willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and school database software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Bilingual skills (preferred but not required).
