Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary setting focused on supporting students with Developmental and Cognitive Delays (DCD). This contract position begins in late August 2026 and runs through early June 2027, providing the opportunity to collaborate onsite with a dedicated team within a Centerbase model.
You’ll work with a diverse elementary caseload, delivering instruction, interventions, and support tailored to each student’s unique needs. This is an engaging environment where innovation is encouraged, and you’ll have the resources and support to foster growth and confidence in your students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Minnesota teaching certification required (Tier 3 or Tier 4), please attach with your resume.
- Experience in special education settings, particularly with elementary-aged students preferred.
- Strong understanding of developmental and cognitive delay methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to students in the DCD Centerbase program.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs according to state and federal guidelines.
- Track student progress and document data to inform instructional decisions.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that celebrates student strengths.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to optimize student success.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing learning opportunities.
