Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced CNC/ Manual Machinists for projects located in Salt Lake City, UT. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

Set up and operate both manual and CNC lathes/mills

Interpret and work from engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications

Plan sequence of machining operations and determine the best methods

Measure and mark material for cutting/shaping

Check and inspect output using manual measuring tools (OD mic, ID mic, calipers, etc.)

Ensure work meets quality control and standard operating procedures

Perform calculations for true position in both inch and metric
-
Review and follow instructions, drawings, or samples to meet project requirements
Responsibilities
-
Minimum 3 years of CNC/manual machining experience in a job shop environment

High school diploma or GED required
-
Proficient in G-code; SolidCAM experience is a plus

Experience working with FANUC controls

Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and quality systems

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Must be results-driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-changing environment
