Job Summary
The CDL Class B Driver is responsible for safely operating a straight truck to deliver products to customers on local routes. This role includes loading/unloading freight, ensuring accurate deliveries, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
This is a hands-on position requiring physical activity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL Class B straight truck on local delivery routes
- Load and unload products, using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when needed
- Verify deliveries against invoices and bills of lading
- Obtain customer signatures and return completed paperwork
- Inspect vehicle before and after trips; report maintenance issues
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and work area
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Provide professional, courteous service to customers
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 23 years of local driving experience preferred
- Ability to pass DOT drug screen, background check, and physical
- Must be 21 years or older
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Manual transmission experience preferred
- Forklift experience (sit-down LP) is a plus
