Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Description
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adolescents and young adults in a residential treatment setting.
Key responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, providing psychoeducation, and responding to emergencies.
Qualifications required are an MSN or equivalent with active California licensure and DEA, at least 2 years of psychiatric experience (preferably with youth), and strong trauma-informed care skills.
Schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm with weekend on-call rotation.
