Position: Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS)
Location: Long Island City, NY
Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 8 Hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | 40 Hours per Week
Travel Pay: Up to $68/hr including stipend (~$2,550/week)
Local Pay: $50–$56/hr W2 (~$1,875–$2,100/week)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Long Island City, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following established departmental protocols.
Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety for patients and staff.
Set up, clean, and perform minor adjustments to imaging equipment.
Ensure adequate supplies are available for daily operations.
Assist in mentoring and orienting new ultrasound personnel.
Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians’ workstations.
Answer phones, schedule examinations, and coordinate patient transportation as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required:

ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
BLS certification
0-2 years of ultrasound technologist experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office/administrative practices
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion

Education:

Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology OR
High School/GED plus successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
Knowledge of routine diagnostic and breast imaging procedures is preferred
