Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Kingwood, TX, requiring active TX or compact RN licensure and a minimum of 1 year of acute ER experience.

Details

  • Work in a 28-bed Emergency Department located on the 1st floor of the North Tower
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 13-week contract
  • Patient ratio of 4:1
  • Staffing includes a Charge RN, 10 RNs, 2–3 Techs, and 1 Unit Secretary per shift
  • Common procedures include IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
  • EMR system: Meditech
  • Requires working 4 weekend shifts per month
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI (or accepted equivalent: SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute Emergency Department experience required
  • Trauma experience preferred
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

  • Trauma experience is a preferred qualification and will be prioritized during candidate review
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
  • All certifications must be from AHA or ARC and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
