This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to start a career in the insurance industry. The Customer Service Representative will serve as the first point of contact for our clients, providing support with policy questions, billing inquiries, and service requests. You will assist account managers and agents with administrative tasks while learning the fundamentals of insurance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients (phone, email, or in-person) with professionalism and courtesy.

  • Assist clients with basic service needs, such as ID cards, billing questions, and payment processing.

  • Route inquiries and escalate complex requests to account managers or licensed agents.

  • Support the team with data entry, document management, and updating client files in our agency management system (EzLynx).

  • Monitor voicemails, emails, and service requests to ensure timely follow-up.

  • Learn insurance terminology, policy basics, and customer service procedures through on-the-job training and agency resources.

  • Maintain a positive and professional image of The Ryan Insurance Agency in all interactions.


Requirements

  • Must be able to pass and obtain the Michigan Property and Casualty License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn agency systems (training provided).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required.
