A full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) opportunity is available within a school setting located in Milton Freewater, OR. This contract position is set for the remainder of the current school year, with a strong possibility for renewal in the 2026/2027 school year. The role involves supporting a diverse K-12 caseload across multiple school sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to students with varying physical needs
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans to support student mobility and functional independence
- Collaborate with educational staff, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care and effective communication
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Adapt therapy activities to meet the unique needs of students across multiple sites and grade levels
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification applicable to the state
- Experience working within a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively across multiple locations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills conducive to collaboration with students, educators, and families
