Radiologic Technologist – Job Requirements
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Required Knowledge & Skills

Patient Care Across All Ages: Must be knowledgeable in human growth and development and able to provide radiologic services for patients of all ages — from newborns to the elderly.

Technical Expertise:
-
Proficient in computer technology.

Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.

Imaging Proficiency:
-
Able to perform general diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging on patients of all ages.

High accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
-
Able to operate CT scan equipment with strong attention to detail.

Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills for working effectively with physicians, peers, and patients.

Work Environment: Able to perform effectively in high-stress situations.
Certifications & Licenses (Required)

Education: Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Certification:
-
ARRT (R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist
-
ARRT (CT) – CT certification required within 2 years of hire
-
BLS Certification – Must be from the American Heart Association (completed before orientation)

Licensure: Valid Virginia Radiologic Technologist License
Base pay plus generous differentials
