An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse with experience in stepdown care to provide critical support on a neuroscience progressive care unit. This role focuses on delivering specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical interventions during the night shift.
Location: Midlothian, VA

Schedule:
- Night shifts
- 3 shifts per week
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Responsibilities include:
- Providing skilled nursing care to patients on the neuroscience PCU unit
- Monitoring patients conditions and responding promptly to changes
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to implement care plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards
- Supporting patient and family education and emotional support during hospitalization
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience required
- Proficient in stepdown nursing practices, particularly within neuroscience or related specialty areas
- Ability to manage complex patient care during overnight hours with attention to detail and clinical acumen
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
