Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead internal audit activities, strengthen organizational controls, and support compliance initiatives across a large healthcare system. This role will oversee operational, financial, and compliance audits while helping develop audit strategies, policies, and risk assessment programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational, financial, and compliance audits across the organization
- Evaluate internal controls, processes, and risk management practices
- Develop and implement annual audit plans and audit methodologies
- Track management action plans and remediation efforts
- Assist with external audits, including federal and regulatory audits
- Develop continuous monitoring and data analytics tools to improve audit effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and industry best practices
- Oversee sales and use tax recovery processes and compliance requirements
- Supervise audit staff and provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) required
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting or internal audit experience
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and risk management
- Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Salary: $82,742+ annually (based on experience)
