We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the backbone of our medical practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient service. Your expertise in medical administrative support, EMR systems, and medical billing will help facilitate efficient clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Primary responsibilities

Coordination of the day-to-day operations of the practice: Develop and implement office policies and procedures. Implement and monitor workflow that supports productivity. Ensure efficient patient scheduling and managing medical records. Order medical and office supplies, pay medical office bills, and manage payroll. Maintain a positive environment.

Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and supervision of receptionists, medical assistants, schedulers, ultrasound technicians and billing staff.

Patient and Customer Service: Promote excellent customer service, ensure high patient satisfaction, resolve complaints, handle public relations and identify opportunities to improve overall service.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPPA, OSHA, labor laws, practice policies and other regulations.

Billing: Oversee the billing department and the revenue cycle to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the process, resolve any patient issues/concerns. Understanding of billing and coding rules for surgical practice.

Technology Use: Utilize EHR AdvancedMd, insurance portals and hospital EHRs.

Facilities Maintenance & Resource Management: Manage equipment & facilities maintenance & repair, cleaning, security, and occupational health and safety. Inventory management.

Education Requirement: 4 years

Experience: Minimum 3 years as a medical office manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Skill in using healthcare software and computer systems

  • Organizational skills
