Job SummaryThe Surgery Scheduler plays a vital role in coordinating and scheduling all surgical procedures within the department. This position ensures seamless communication and collaboration among the surgical team, hospital admissions, and the operating room (OR). Additionally, the Surgery Scheduler manages office visit scheduling to optimize the clinic schedules of physicians and advanced practice providers.
Key Responsibilities

1. Schedule all surgeries and coordinate ancillary services required for procedures.
2. Communicate and collaborate with surgical team members, hospital admissions, and OR staff to ensure smooth surgical operations.
3. Manage OR capacity to accommodate physicians' surgical schedules effectively.
4. Schedule office visits, ensuring optimal use of physicians’ and advanced practice providers’ clinic time.
5. Maintain accurate scheduling records and update systems promptly.
6. Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and hospital departments to confirm appointments and address scheduling conflicts.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related medical office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working within a surgical or hospital scheduling environment (if applicable).
2. Strong organizational and communication skills.
