Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Production Clerk II works under the close supervision of the Fabrication Manager to perform clerical duties including point of first contact for M2M job orders, M2M training for production planning office maintaining logs, typing, filing, entering data, completing forms and delivering documents.Essential Job Duties
- Point of first contact for Made2Manage job orders and planning related issues
- Log drawings as received; review drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for missing or conflicting information
- Enter standard routings into the Made2Manage (M2M) system
- Consult with supervisors and leads as needed for operation times and sequences
- Compare component part drawings with assembly drawings and follow up with Production or Engineering for any discrepancies
- Release travelers
- Research information on Job Orders as required
- Work closely with Engineering to resolve problems with blueprints, sales, and shop floor when information needs clarification
- Prepare and release stock travelers, including replenish, outside process and internal use
- Release job pick list and stock item drawings to Stock Room
- Prepare designated reports as needed
- File change orders and BOMs
Other Duties
- Communicate with shop supervisors to solve problems as required
- Provide back-up telephone coverage for Receptionist
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years experience as production clerk I
- Knowledge of basic shop functions and blueprints preferred
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
