Job Description

We are looking for an accounting clerk to join our Tustin, CA team. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, and Management of the Postage Program.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Billing:

  • Ensure all transactions and documentation have been received.
  • Analyze and reconcile transactions.
  • Resolve any issues with other departments as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute invoices to customers.
  • Coordinate with CSRs at month-end to ensure a timely close.

Accounts Payable:

  • Review invoices for proper documentation including POs and receivers.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies as needed with coworkers and vendors.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system.
  • Reconcile accounts payable vendor statements and transactions.

Postage Program:

  • Record daily requests and transactions in the accounting system.
  • Issue checks to purchase postage for meters and stamps.
  • Coordinate with departments to track postage for customer billing.
  • Reconcile the postage account on a regular basis.
  • Maintain the online postage applications.

Demonstrated Skills

  • Professional and courteous communication, both verbal and written.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise reasonable judgement.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles.

Qualifications

  • Accurate data entry skills including 10-key by touch.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of MS Office / Excel.
  • High school diploma with two years of directly related experience.

Preferred, but not required

  • Understanding of inventory management systems.
  • Direct mail, printing, personalization, packaging industry experience
  • Prefer experience with PrintStream software
