Job Description

URGENT HIRING For Travel Pharmacist

Job Location: Fridley, MN

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days


Certificates: Doctor of Pharmacy degree required, Licensed by the Minnesota state pharmacy board


Weekly Travel Pay Package (resides out of 50+ miles) (40hrs)

Weekly Tax Free Stipend to be paid $1,245.90

Weekly Straight Pay (Taxable) $1,554.40

Weekly Gross $2,800.30

Overtime Pay: $90.00


Local Pay: $2,500/Week or $62.50/Hr on W2


Job Description:

Monday through Friday varying shifts.

M-F 9:30-6 / 10-6:30 / 11-8:30

Sat-Sun 10-6:30

OT not required but may be offered occasionally.

Not a requirement but IV experience would be a plus.


- Accept and dispense prescription medications.

- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.

- Ensuring that the supply of medicines is within the law.

- Ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable.

- Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients ensure proper management of patient records and pharmacy files.

- Advising patients about medicines, including how to take them, what reactions may occur and answering patients' questions.

- Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.

- Provide services to patients, such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement and cholesterol management.

- Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitor and glucose meters.

- Compound medications for external or internal use.

- Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.

- Supervise pharmacy staff members including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, etc.

- Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies.

- Identify patient?s drug-related problems and effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.

- Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, pharmacy interns, etc.

- Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.

- Licensed by the state pharmacy board.
