Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Manager to lead high-impact partnerships within the global payments ecosystem. This role is responsible for managing partner relationships end-to-end, from strategy development and business case creation to negotiation, execution, and ongoing performance management.

The ideal candidate brings a strong strategic mindset, broad payments experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, including cross-functional teams and executive leadership. This role requires operating effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while leveraging modern tools, including AI, to enhance productivity and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead partner workstreams with key payments ecosystem partners, including networks, processors, issuers, and payment service providers
  • Drive partnership strategy by identifying opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and defining success metrics
  • Structure and negotiate complex agreements, including commercial terms, technical scope, performance expectations, and data/privacy considerations
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps
  • Lead cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, Operations, and Marketing teams
  • Develop frameworks and processes for partner selection, prioritization, and performance management
  • Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
  • Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Leverage AI tools for drafting, analysis, summarization, and workflow optimization

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
  • Experience structuring and negotiating commercial agreements, including financial modeling and pricing
  • Strong understanding of payments cost optimization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in payments, partnerships, or related fields
  • Experience managing complex, multi-layered negotiations
  • Strong ability to operate strategically in ambiguous environments
  • Experience working with global partners and executive stakeholders
  • Strong operational skills, including goal setting, metrics tracking, and business reviews (QBRs)
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making
