Job Description

Salary range: $85,000-$115,000 DOQ


Job Summary: The Clinical Manager will be responsible for the overall operations as it relates to clinical workflows and efficiencies. In this important role, the successful applicant will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, the public, Physicians, and clinical staff. Typical duties will include managing clinical professionals and para professionals along with collaborating with administrative staff and leaders to ensure the team is optimizing the use of available resources. In addition, you will be responsible for attending in person and /or virtual meetings related to clinical practice functions, acting as the point of contact for patients, physicians, and external partners/stakeholders. Additionally, the Clinical Manager acts in a clinical capacity as needed: triaging patients and providing collaborative care to the top of their RN license.

Essential Functions

· Ensuring office is opened and closed daily, as per established schedules

· Assisting in interviewing, hiring and training new clinical staff in accordance with HR guidelines

· Overseeing daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practice’s clinical operations.

· Regularly reviewing charts for documentation issues and collaborating with billing and coding teams to provide education and training.

· Conduct regular clinical team meetings and annual performance evaluations.

· Communicate with physicians, CMAs, RNs, and other medical professionals

· Respond to inquiries, concerns and clinical complaints from patients

· Track and maintain appropriate medical supply inventory

· Research and develop strategies around new clinical technologies and surgical tools

· Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for role specific clinical operations

· Manage direct reports performance and ability to deliver on job functions

· Supervise quality initiatives within the practice and ensure quality initiative goals are being met

· Attends Unified Compliance, Clinical Operations and/or other committee meetings as directed by Physician Leads.

· Attend practice meetings as required by scope of role

· Support goals and philosophy of the organization

· Maintain patient and company confidentiality

· Excellent attendance and punctuality

· Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:

· A working knowledge of computers; computer skills at the level necessary for working efficiently in the company’s practice management system

· Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and clinical documentation standards (Athena knowledge helpful)

· Understanding of clinical workflow best practices, laboratory procedures, triage procedures, ultrasound practices, and regulatory requirements

· Effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and basic reporting tools

Work and Education Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

· Holds a valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.

· 3+ years of clinical practice as an RN in a medical clinic/hospital setting

· 3+ years supervisory experience
