Job Description
A founding classroom teacher helps launch and shape the Warren YES academic and cultural foundation. They serve as the core, lead teacher for their assigned classroom and design and deliver high-quality, student-centered instruction aligned with the Warren YES mission, paideia approach and four pillars. In addition to teaching, they collaborate closely with colleagues to establish classroom systems, and build an inclusive learning community.
Reports to: Head of School Location: Warren YES School (Opening August 2026)
Work Arrangement: In person, 10 months per year school based position.
Start Date: August 6, 2026
Compensation: Annual Salary based on teaching years of experience and advanced degree)
Key Responsibilities
● Design and deliver rigorous, student-centered instruction aligned with the Warren YES mission, paideia approach, and four pillars.
● Establish classroom systems, routines, and culture that reflect the school’s academic and social-emotional priorities.
● Collaborate with fellow founding teachers to co-create an inclusive, and equitable school community.
● Use data and student feedback to refine lessons and support individualized learning.
● Contribute to building the school’s identity by participating in community events, family engagement, and shared decision-making.

● Bachelor’s degree required and valid teaching license (or eligibility for certification) in elementary education.
● Proven success driving student learning and engagement in diverse classrooms.
● Experience with or willingness to learn the paideia approach.
● Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
