Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with neuro stepdown experience to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This contract position calls for a confident clinician who is proficient in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessment and comfortable managing neuro stepdown patients. Candidates with a strong med/surg background and relevant certifications who can support this patient population will also be considered.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years neuro stepdown nursing experience required
- NIHSS certification must be included in application materials
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- This opportunity requires previous experience with EPIC electronic medical records
- Strong med/surg skills with additional neuro stepdown experience are a plus
- Clean work history with no gaps exceeding 60 days

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care for neuro stepdown patients under the guidance of unit leadership

- Accurately document all nursing activities using EPIC EMR
- Adhere to scheduling requirements, including no block scheduling and weekend shifts
