Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Manager for our growing tax department. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning, ensuring that our organization meets all regulatory requirements while optimizing our tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the preparation and filing of income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients, particularly focusing on high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) and family offices.
- Oversee multi-state tax compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to assess tax implications and opportunities.
- Review and ensure accuracy of corporate returns and partnership filings, including flow-through and pass-through entities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide informed guidance to clients.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance financial outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or EA is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in tax software, particularly CCH Axcess, is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of income tax returns, HNWI, M&A transactions, and family office tax strategies.
- Experience with multi-state and international tax compliance is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
