• Facility: Community hospital, R&B ICU, 12-bed unit\n
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens, travel nurse contract\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n
• Start Date: September 29, 2025\n
• End Date: December 29, 2025\n
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1830 - $1880\n
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics\n
• Average Daily Census: 8\n
• Float Requirement: May float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, Medical, Surgical, or Intermediate Care units\n
• Scrubs: Provided\n
• Parking: Free on-site\n

\n\nICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required at time of application)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience\n
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications\n
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system\n
• Strong clinical skills in ventilator management, titration of pressors and sedation, balloon pumps, CRRT, and acute stroke management\n
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed\n
• Professional references preferred at time of submission\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius of Alton, IL\n

\n\nICU RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU\n
• Manage ventilators, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and administer emergency medications\n
• Assist with and perform procedures including central line placement, bronchoscopies, PEG tube placement, CPAP/BiPAP management, post-arrest cooling protocol, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and CRRT\n
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias, manage multi-system organ failure, and respond to acute stroke and cardiac emergencies\n
• Float to Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care units as required\n
• Accurately document patient care in Cerner EHR\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
• Participate in holiday and weekend shift coverage as needed\n
