We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a growing team in Easton, Maryland in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position will provide hands-on support across accounts payable, payroll, and day-to-day accounting activities while helping maintain accurate financial records and timely reporting. The role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working on-site, has strong Excel and system skills, and is eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to expand their responsibilities over time.


Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices each week, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment.

• Support payroll administration for approximately 80 employees by reviewing data, entering updates, and helping maintain accurate payroll records.

• Assist with accounts receivable activities, including tracking incoming payments and maintaining organized customer account information.

• Enter financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets with a high level of precision and attention to detail.

• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for finance and operations teams to support weekly business review needs.

• Partner with accounting leadership to help manage daily transactional workflows and keep financial activities on schedule.

• Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline routine accounting and reporting tasks.

• Experience supporting accounts payable functions, including invoice review, data entry, and payment processing.

• Working knowledge of accounts receivable and general bookkeeping practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence learning and using accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in an on-site environment.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with finance and operations stakeholders.

• A motivated, growth-oriented approach with interest in developing broader accounting skills.
