With exposure to a broad spectrum of acute care cases, you’ll enhance your nursing expertise and work alongside distinguished clinical leaders, gaining valuable experience that will distinguish your resume for future roles.
This 28-bed surgical unit manages 60–75 cases per day, ranging from trauma and transplants to complex vascular, neuro, and pediatric procedures. You’ll be immersed in a diverse patient population, sharpening your skills with both adult and pediatric surgeries in a collaborative, resource-rich environment supported by educators, a dedicated charge nurse, and technology-forward systems like EPIC and Pyxis.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts: 0645–1515, 1445–1915, 2245–0715
- Options available: 3x12h, 2x8H/2x12H, or 5x8h
- Rotating weekends (every 4th weekend)
- On-call duties dependent on shift/service line (sleeping room provided)
- Holiday coverage required
- Six-week scheduling, rotation-based
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification
- 2–3 years acute care experience in OR setting (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
- Scrub and circulate competency
- EPIC experience required
- Trauma and/or critical care background
- Open to first-time travelers
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate and scrub across a wide array of surgical cases, including trauma, CV, neuro, ortho, and robotics
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal care delivery
- Adhere to established infection control protocols and documentation requirements
- Provide high-quality patient care for both scheduled and urgent/emergent cases
- Engage in orientation and ongoing learning opportunities
