Job Description
The Material Handler supports daily operations by accurately picking, staging, and preparing products for assembly and shipment within a clean aerospace facility. This role requires consistent attention to detail, safe material handling practices, and effective use of RF scanning equipment and pallet jacks during a daytime shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Manually pick and stage products throughout the facility in accordance with work orders and work tickets.
- Utilize RF scanners and handheld scanning devices to accurately scan, track, and verify products.
- Follow written work orders and tickets to ensure the correct items and quantities are picked and prepared.
- Operate pallet jacks safely to move materials and staged orders within the facility.
- Properly stage all orders for assembly or shipment, ensuring accuracy and readiness for the next process.
- Perform basic production and general labor tasks as needed to support the production line and assembly line.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including order pulling, order picking, and order packing.
- Complete data entry and order entry tasks to maintain accurate inventory and order records.
- Conduct parts inspection and inspection during assembly to help ensure product quality.
- Apply labels and perform labeling tasks to correctly identify products and orders.
- Use hand tools and power tools as required for basic assembly or material handling tasks.
- Support inventory control efforts by accurately picking, scanning, and tracking inventory movements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with aerospace facility standards.
- Follow all facility security procedures, including presenting valid identification to access the secured site.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and material handling best practices, including safe lifting techniques up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
You will work in a clean, well-maintained aerospace environment designed to support precision and quality. The role follows a daytime schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a consistent and predictable shift. Work is performed in a secured facility, and you must present a valid government-issued ID to enter. The environment involves regular use of RF scanners, handheld scanning devices, pallet jacks, hand tools, and power tools, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to facility procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
